About the Role
Hexagon Energy is hiring a Director of Origination & Offtake to lead commercial development for its Western U.S. geothermal energy portfolio, including relationships with major energy buyers, utilities, and data center customers.
What You’ll Do
- Lead geothermal offtake deals and commercial agreements.
- Build relationships with energy buyers, utilities, and data centers.
- Structure and negotiate PPAs, capacity agreements, and tolling arrangements.
- Manage opportunities from prospecting through closing.
- Work with finance, development, and legal teams.
- Monitor Western U.S. power markets and maintain the commercial pipeline.
What We’re Looking For
- 8–12+ years of experience in power origination, energy marketing, or corporate energy procurement.
- Experience closing complex energy transactions.
- Strong relationships with hyperscale or data center energy buyers.
- Knowledge of Western U.S. power markets and utilities.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25%.
